Description
On March 26, 2024 the Dali left the Baltimore port, to begin a journey to Columbo, Sri Lanka. At 1:28 AM, after loosing power, the Dali struck the South-Western pier of the Francis Scott Key Bridge at a speed of 8 knots, causing the entire main span and three sections of the North-Eastern approach, to collapse into the Patapsco River (and also onto the fore-part of the vessel). Six members of a road construction crew, working on the bridge, died.
