| H. Lee White - Varennes, Québec - April 18, 2012 |

H. Lee White as shown while upbound on the St. Lawrence River off Varennes on April 18, 2012. A US-flag laker on the St.Lawrence River is a rare occurence. This one had never been east of the Welland Canal in her then 38-year career except for one trip to Hamilton and had never taken a pilot before. I suspect her crew must have been delighted at the change of scenery! She did 3 more trips with taconite from Duluth to Québec City that season. |
