Description
Built as a fishing trawler, from the recycled metals of captured German U-boats salvaged after World War II. Following a 32-year fishing career the vessel was converted to a sailing ship, by a Dutch skipper and his wife. The vessel was sold to Dawn and Jay Santamaria (Hunterdon County, New Jersey) in the fall of 1999. After a full refit, the vessel was registered in the United States and sailed under the nonprofit organization Sisters Under Sail; as a on-board leadership program for teenage girls and women.
