Sold in 1975 for off-Lakes service and left the Great Lakes, renamed El Salerno (Mexico).

The El Salerno foundered and sank in a position 18.44N / 103.59 W on September 21st, 1982 while on a voyage from San Carlos, California to Salina Cruz, Mexico with a cargo of wheat.
