Description

The A.S. Glossbrenner was build for the Labrador Steamship Company (Montreal, Quebec).

In 1971, the A.S. Glossbrenner was sold to Algoma Central (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario). In 1987 Algoma renamed the ship Algogulf.

The Algogulf was converted to a self-unloading bulk carrier in 1990 and Algoma renamed the ship Algosteel.

The name was shortened to Oste for the tow to Aliaga, Turkey for scrapping.
